Melissa Buday got started with horses when she was 2 years old and by high school, was known as the one to call to ride any horse in town. For a short time after college, she worked outside of horses in law enforcement but was soon drawn back when she found out that Dr. Tucker was looking for someone to join his practice.

She tried out for the position in 2009 and was with The Equine Practice, Inc until 2022. In October 2022 Melissa purchased a portion of The Equine Practice from Dr. Tucker and started Winning Edge Horsemanship Dentistry, LLC. 

Melissa always believed in putting the horses best interest and horsemanship first. Taking traditional floating practices with about 20 different techniques and her horsemanship she achieves results without having to automatically drug horses and creates a willing partnership.

Melissa has floated over 25,000 horses now and statistically less than 3 out of 100 need any medication for floating. 

Melissa and Dr. Tucker created the Horsemanship Dentistry School where Melissa is still an instructor.
